Children deserve a sense of belonging and purpose. Family and sports teams can provide for this need in a positive way. The alternatives that children often turn to are gangs, drugs, and suicide.

Girls that participate in sports are less likely to be abused, become pregnant, and get involved in gangs. Fifty percent of youth that do not participate in local or national sports competition or program is because of the cost. The purpose of GGrant94ft, Inc Academic Basketball Academy is to build positive self worth, promote a sense of accomplishment by engaging the student/athlete in a well-organized academic athletic program. The student/athlete will leave the academy with the knowledge and motivation for lifetime community involvement and the desire to be a productive citizen. The academy will be recognized as a premier program that infuses academics with sports and produces high level, high achieving student athletes.
